Memories of Many c/o Sirkhane Darkroom - Collective Memory Space, Stauffacherstrasse 8, 8004 Zürich
I organized the exhibition "The Light of Memory" in collaboration with Sirkhane Darkroom, a mobile analog photography project working with vulnerable and refugee children at the Turkish-Syrian border. The exhibition ran from September 5th to September 21st, 2024, with an opening event on September 5th.
This project showcased the children’s photographs, which depict their daily lives and their resilience in navigating difficult circumstances. By providing them with tools and opportunities to develop their creative skills, the initiative not only highlights their stories but also empowers them to express their identities and realities.
The event was made possible through a network of stakeholders, including cultural organizations, local partners, and contributors who supported the curation, promotion, and hosting of the exhibition.
My role encompassed event coordination, stakeholder management, and overseeing all aspects of the exhibition, from conceptual planning to execution. The exhibition’s success was a testament to collaborative efforts and the power of storytelling through art.
