Competition - HS 2020
The project for the new hospital is designed as a small town and is intended for people of all ages. The different paths and squares create spaces for those who come here seeking recovery, as well as for those who work here permanently. The connection to the city and the integration with the landscape are at the forefront.
We chose a horizontally structured, network-like large form embedded in the landscape, which, with the help of cut-out courtyards inside and orthogonally arranged wings extending outward, seeks to create an interplay between nature and built reality. The expansive roof serves as a closure in the third dimension, partly designed as built nature, walkable in lower areas, and equipped with technical installations at the top.
